Each January we gather at Gassho House to let the tarot serve as a mirror: not a forecast of what’s coming, but a reflection of what we each carry.

I’ve been paying attention to the arc:

2025 · The Hermit: We turned inward. Walked with our own lantern through terrain we couldn’t fully see.

2026 · The Wheel of Fortune: The turning happened whether we were ready or not.

2027 · Justice: And soon we arrive at the midpoint.

THE INNER FACULTY

Justice at XI is the hinge of the entire Major Arcana: the literal midpoint of the Fool’s journey. The first half moves outward: learning, encountering, being acted upon by forces larger than yourself. At XI, the journey turns.

What turns inward is the capacity to see what is actually true: not what we’ve been taught, not what we’ve agreed to, not even what we wish. The oldest root of this archetype is Maat, the Egyptian goddess who weighs the heart against a feather. Her inquiry is not about what you can argue or justify. It’s about what you can carry.

2027 is also a Master Number 11 year: two pillars, a threshold. The wisdom it reflects has been cultivated through everything the Hermit walked and everything the Wheel set in motion.

Why This Year is Special

For the first time, Align with the Divine is a weekend sleepover. We’ll begin Saturday morning and close Sunday afternoon, giving us more space to breathe, rest, and let the magic truly settle in.

We’ll also gather at a cosmological seam: January 16 falls in the final weeks of the Year of the Fire Horse, just three weeks before the Year of the Goat arrives on February 6. We’ll sit in that threshold space, the Horse’s momentum still present, while the Goat’s quieter wisdom just begins to take shape on the horizon.

  • Explore the year ahead, spending time with each month through tarot, movement, and inquiry

  • Share in ceremony that honors the sacred and the everyday

  • Nourish ourselves with beautiful meals and meaningful conversation

  • Enjoy quiet space for rest, reflection, and integration

  • Laugh, connect, and remember what it feels like to belong

You do not need any prior experience with tarot or somatic work to join. Just bring your curiosity, openness, and respect for the circle.

Align with the Divine is open to all genders and identities. LGBTQ+ cherished and welcome. This is a space for people who want to meet the year ahead with presence, creativity, and connection — in community that is as real as it is sacred.

I offer an hour-and-a-half presentation outlining history, theory and practice, based on a blend of Vipassana, TM (Transcendental meditation practices) and Vedanta meditation practices.

Then we have a private ritual ceremony (each person on the call has their own break out and private session with me), where I present you with your mantra, the sound the universe made when you were born.

There are two followup sessions of an hour to an hour-and-a-half each.
