Scott Stabile, Big Love

Scott Stabile

Scott Stabile

If anyone had a right to curl up in a ball and give up, it was Scott Stabile. His parents were murdered when he was fourteen. Nine years later, his brother died of a heroin overdose. He joined a cult and wrenched himself out of it after thirteen years. But all the while, Stabile was learning to do things like forgive the man who murdered his parents, have compassion for his brother, and believe in the power of love to create positive change above all else.

Scott shares the experiences that pulled him from his center and the ways in which he brought himself back in ways that are universally applicable, uplifting, and even laugh-out-loud funny. “In each instance, it was big love that carried me back to my center. Love encouraged me to show up for my life authentically. Love challenged me to move forward, despite my fears. Every single time, love walked me home.”

Whether trying (as we all must) to silence shame, show up for friends, or overcome dreaded what-ifs, the hard-won insights that Scott shares are sure to help us do so with a renewed sense of love.

Robert O. Williams, Love Is the Power: Moving Humanity from Fear to Love

Robert O. Williams

Robert O. Williams

What happens when we live all emotions, thoughts, and body feelings as love as opposed to just searching for love? We are free to give to others without need or fear. That is the power of love and pure heart consciousness.

Robert O. Williams leads us into the intimate journey of his life through the vivid memories of his unique childhood, an inspiring account of his talent and perseverance as a saxophone player, his introduction to Transcendental Meditation (TM), his magical time performing and recording with The Beach Boys, and the extraordinary journey through multiple near-death experiences and visits with other dimensions which culminated in three decades of research and invention of Quantum Code Technology™ and the Heart+ App.

Williams said, “The fact that we were able to develop a proven technology to strengthen our physical hearts as well as serve in the awakening of our spiritual hearts is, for me, an indication that we truly can raise consciousness through technology.” Love Is the Power is not about the search for love, romantic or otherwise; rather, it is about being love.

Jean Shinoda Bolen, Artemis: The Indomitable Spirit in Everywoman

Jean Bolen

Jean Bolen

Feeling indomitable, untamed, unsubdued? Or maybe not so much?

Jean Bolen explores the myth of Atalanta, the famous hunter and runner in ancient Greek mythology, a mortal woman who is identified with Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt and Moon. Atalanta began life abandoned and left to die because she was born a girl. She went on to conquer fierce animals and make a man prove himself before she would be his bride. She exemplifies the indomitable spirit in competent, courageous girls and in the women they become who will not be victims, no matter what.

Looking at today’s girls with grit like Princess Merida from the film Brave and Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games, Jean gives us ways we can explore and find our own uncrushable spirits.

Ginette Paris, Heartbreak: New Approaches to Healing - Recovering from lost love and mourning

Ginette-Paris_edited-1-1-300x285.jpg

Look at your broken heart with the curiosity of a naturalist, as you would pay close attention to your pet, to understand what is going on.

The pain of mourning and heartbreak is neurologically similar to being submitted to torture. There seems to be only one way to end that agony; neurobiology calls it an evolutionary jump and psychologists call it an increase in consciousness. The whole brain must re-configure its connections and its thinking about love and relationships.

Lori Pye, PhD, joins us to talk about Ginette Paris' book Heartbreak: New Approaches to Healing - Recovering from lost love and mourning. A wider definition of love and a deeper understanding of its psychology will free you of the obsession for the missing partner and will teach your heart to love in a wiser manner.

Sheri Speede: What Chimpanzees Can Teach us about Love

Sheri_Speede_edited-1-1-300x300.jpg

Do animals have feelings? Sheri met the eyes of three chimpanzees huddled in a cage in the hotel in Cameroon, and felt an instant connection. Fueled by deep empathy and a fierce sense of injustice about the fate of these kindred souls, Speede forever changed the course of her life when she dedicated herself to saving these and other captive chimps in Cameroon.

Navigating geographic, logistic and medical hardships in a cultural landscape completely foreign to her, Speede persevered, eventually building a sanctuary in the forest and taking the chimpanzees back to their natural habitat. A photo of Dorothy, one of the chimps, at her funeral, in which Dr. Sheri Speede was cradling Dorothy's head while her family of chimpanzees looked on, went viral after being published in National Geographic. The image was subsequently covered in hundreds of media outlets on television, in newspapers, and on blogs, deeply touching people around the world while showing once and for all that animals do indeed have feelings.

She shares the joy and deep fulfillment that ultimately can come from following one's true passion...and inspires you to follow yours!
